A new services directory has been produced by Three Rivers District Council, Hertfordshire County Council and the district's Parish Councils.

Front cover of A-Z directory

The publication is the first jointly branded A-Z in Hertfordshire and lists over 80 services.  The simple booklet reflects a strengthened commitment among the Councils to work closely together to provide services.

Three Rivers District Council Leader, Ann Shaw, said:

"Residents have told us they want information about all Council services in one place, so we said 'why not?' - it's common sense.  This is just one of the practical initiatives that we are undertaking to make sure we work together to improve services to residents and to save the cost to the tax payer."

Hertfordshire County Council Leader, Robert Gordon, said:

"Hertfordshire's local authorities have always worked together for the good of our communities. Our shared commitment to build upon this joint working has resulted in Hertfordshire being recognised by Government as a 'Pathfinder' area, to help develop improved arrangements among the councils.  This initiative is just one step to offer even better services to our residents."

The A-Z directory is being delivered to all households in Three Rivers between 25 February and 3 March.  For more information residents can contact Three Rivers District Council 01923 776611 (minicom 01923 727 303) enquiries@threerivers.gov.uk
