Watersmeet will be reopening its doors on 9 December 2020 and will screen a wide selection of films and event cinema plus a great selection of shows in the coming months - all following Covid guidelines.

To ensure visitors have the best possible experience, Watersmeet has had a makeover, with the foyer newly redecorated, and new energy efficient stage lighting fitted. This, combined with stringent safety measures and social distancing to keep everyone safe, will ensure a great time for all.

Josh Sills, Venue Manager, said: “We can’t wait to welcome people back – this is the heartfelt theme throughout Watersmeet.  If you’ve not been to the venue before, why not come along to one of the many events on offer – there are recorded screenings from top London stage shows like 42nd Street and Kinky Boots, to National Theatre productions such as War Horse and View From a Bridge, together with films, new and old and some great live entertainment too.”

Following the end of the recent lockdown, Three Rivers and the rest of Hertfordshire are now in Tier 2. This means that all outdoor gyms, play areas, tennis courts and multi-use games areas are now back open to the public, along with the Everyone Active Leisure Centres.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, Lead Member for Leisure, added: “To ensure residents and visitors follow the Tier 2 guidance you may see some public areas patrolled by Covid Marshals. This is to encourage and support compliance within these areas.

“We would like to thank everyone who has followed government advice and helped keep our communities safe during this challenging time. We continue to encourage all residents and visitors to follow the  government guidelines  at all times.”

Herts Help continues to provide a vital service for the community and is open seven days a week. Support is available for such things as prescription collection, accessing food, financial support, crisis support and self-isolating support.
