The annual Rickmansworth Festival, held on 20-21 May, has been hailed as a triumph again this year.

Thousands of people came along to the Aquadrome for the weekend of family events including the traditional funfair, live music, craft and trade stalls, canal trips, boat tug-of-war, and more.

The Environmental Fair section of the Festival, organised by the District Council, was a big hit with more exhibitors than ever before.  Groups on hand ranged from Butterfly Conservation to Friends of the Withey Beds and Renewable Energy Systems.

Councillor Martin Trevett, Environment Portfolio Holder, said:

"We are so pleased that the Festival was a success again this year and it was great to see so many residents and visitors enjoying themselves over the weekend.  The Festival is a great opportunity to see everything we have to offer in Three Rivers district and the Council is delighted to be involved."

The Rickmansworth Festival, formerly known as the Canal Festival, is organised by Rickmansworth Waterways Trust and Three Rivers District Council, with the generous support of Three Valleys Water and British Waterways.
