Plan ahead - visitors who use the pedestrian bridge into the popular Rickmansworth Aquadrome will need to take a detour for up to four weeks whilst essential repairs are carried out.

The pedestrian bridge off Riverside Drive, next to Ebury Play area is undergoing essential repair work to the surface of the bridge and will be closed to the public for a four week period from Monday 20 February 2023. There will be a detour in place so that you can still gain access to and from the Aquadrome and the wider site facilities. Detour maps and directions will be displayed to guide you around the site and are available on the council’s website.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, the council’s Lead Member for Leisure, said: “The Aquadrome is a much-loved local green space used by thousands of people including myself. The bridge is well used to connect the Aquadrome with Rickmansworth town centre and we apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause. This work is essential and with the diversion in place, we hope that visitors will still be able to visit the play area, wider Rickmansworth area and the Aquadrome”.
