Stop Smoking with the help of the Healthy Hub service

Press ReleaseUpdated: 13 October 2023Community and living

Smokers in Three Rivers are being invited to make October a turning point by giving up the habit with the help of a special local scheme.

A service to help people stop smoking is available at Healthy Hub centres, a scheme run across Three Rivers district.

Through the Stop Smoking Service, residents can access free one-on-one support from trained advisers to help them quit the habit. Residents can drop in and sign-up at one of its three centres at Abbots Langley, South Oxhey, and Mill End.

Cllr Andrew Scarth, Three Rivers District Council's Lead Member for Housing, Public Health, and Wellbeing, said: “Quitting smoking is not an easy task, but it is an easy way to improve your health and keep costs down. Having the right support can make the process of stopping smoking much smoother. This is why schemes like the Healthy Hub Stop Smoking scheme are invaluable to our community. So, if you are considering quitting, visit one of our Healthy Hubs and start your journey.”
