At The Centre in South Oxhey it was all about making noise and letting off steam this half term.

Local families turned out for the Family Gospel choir event (lead by a local family) and many came back the next day for the chance to try the very vocal Japanese Taiko Drumming. Meanwhile, behind the glass in the music studio a group of South Oxhey's talented young rock stars spent two and a half days creating a band from scratch and recording their own CD.

The potential of this fantastic community space is only just being realised; so far it has played host to many young people expressing their musical talents through DJing, RAP projects, learning and developing technical studio skills and to both novice and accomplished bands and groups making use of it as a rehearsal space. There is definitely a musical buzz in the air around South Oxhey!
