There have been many tributes to the popular Ward Councillor, Len Tippen, following his sad death.

Labour Group Leader, Stephen Cox:

"Len gave many years of service to the community on Three Rivers Council including as Chairman of the Council.  His passing is a great loss; to his fellow councillors, the Labour Party, South Oxhey residents, but above all to his family upon whom he doted.

"Len was respected by all.  He had been attending meetings and to his duties in the community until the last.  He was a truly dedicated councillor and servant to the public.  He will be missed."

Conservative Group Leader, Ralph Sangster:

"In memory of a colleague and fellow Councillor who commanded our respect and whose integrity was admired by us all. His untimely parting will be mourned by all who knew him."

Three Rivers District Council Leader, Ann Shaw:

"We were devastated to hear of Len Tippen's death.  He was always friendly, sensible and a pleasure to work with while clearly determined to support the local community, especially those he represented. We will all miss him."
