An exciting and fun playscheme for children in Three Rivers is now open for bookings ahead of the school summer holidays.

Three Rivers District Council’s Playscheme provides an affordable opportunity for young children from reception age to year six to develop their social skills during school holidays.

The Ofsted registered scheme is held at Yorke Mead School in Croxley Green and offers more than 1,000 spaces over the summer period running from 28 July - 22 August 2025.

Participants can meet new friends, play games, and try a wide range of different activities. At Three Rivers Playscheme there are always new and exciting play opportunities, as well as welcoming suggestions from the children.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, the council’s lead member for leisure, said: “The Playscheme is a great opportunity for young people to make the most of the summer holidays. A typical day will be a mix of indoor and outdoor games and activities, sports, arts and crafts. There will also be the opportunity for groups to mix and play team games. Lunch will be taken together in the middle of the day. If you are interested, don’t delay, book a place today!”

Playscheme runs on weekdays from 8.30am-5pm and costs £30 per child, per day for Three Rivers residents or £35 per child, per day for non-residents.

Bookings can be made online.
