Play Ranger holiday sessions are back

Children in Three Rivers are encouraged to play freely and explore the district’s woodlands and open spaces with the return of the summer holiday Play Ranger sessions.
The holiday sessions – run by Three Rivers District Council – take place between 28 July – 22 August at numerous locations throughout the district. Play Rangers offer children a safe and fun space where they can create woodland crafts, climb trees, build dens, play volleyball and enjoy lots more outdoor fun whilst socialising with others.
One parent whose children took part said:
“My three children all love Play Rangers and always jump at the chance to go to a session. We are so lucky to have such fantastic Play Rangers who always ensure that they all have so much fun. What a fabulous idea to get the kids involved in the outdoors.”
And another said: “Good wholesome outdoor fun. Play Rangers has been a real highlight for my children over the summer holidays, they loved every session.”
Cllr Chris Lloyd, Lead Member for Leisure, said: “I am incredibly proud of our Play Ranger sessions, which provide children with the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a safe and fun way. The Play Ranger sessions take place throughout the week, at different times and locations across the district, reaching as many children as possible.”
Play Ranger sessions are suitable for children in Year 1 – Year 6. An annual membership is required, costing £6 per child – once this has been purchased you can book onto any of the Play Ranger sessions using the quick and simple booking form.
