Even more household items can now be recycled after a new collection bank for small domestic appliances was delivered to the Community Way car park in Croxley Green last week.

Councillor Phil Brading, Portfolio Holder for Public Services, said;
“Although this is just a trial at this stage we are hoping that the recycling bank will prove a big hit with residents.

The new bank will allow residents to reduce, reuse and recycle their unwanted or used household items from toasters and kettles to irons and hairdryers.”

Items that can be accepted include:
Phones
Computer keyboards
DVD players
Toasters
Kettles
Hairdryers
Electrical toys
Electric toothbrushes
Irons
Remote Controls
DIY electric tools
Shavers
Radios
Video cameras
Clocks and watches
Small kitchen appliances
Small electric fans

Items NOT accepted:
TV monitors
Computers
Washing machines
Cookers
Light bulbs
Batteries
General rubbish
Anything that won't fit in the chute
