Host of artists selected for the annual Open Exhibition at Artistsmeet

20th October 2015

Visit Rickmansworth’s popular gallery space over the next 8 weeks and you will be treated to a vibrant and varied collection of art from over 15 selected artists, living locally in Three Rivers and from across Hertfordshire and the UK.

web-sunflower-phases-jpg.JPGFollowing a call out in September for original and exciting artworks in response to ‘Capturing the Essence of Time’, scores of artists submitted pieces and a number were selected from different artists, who, at different stages in their career are practising in a variety of mediums, such as painting, installation, print and applied art.

“The quality and variety of submissions that we received from artists this year made the process of selecting the artwork for display very interesting! It’s so encouraging to know that there’s a rich and thriving arts scene present in our district and further afield and I look forward to celebrating with the artists at the opening reception” said Community Arts Development Officer, Elaine Johnson.
