A new location has been announced for the next Three Rivers Pensioners’ Forum – which will feature a multitude of guest speakers at its June event.

The forum will for the first time take place at Rickmansworth School and will feature speakers from The Three Rivers Museum, the University of the U3A as well as a short film on the Grand Union Canal and expert advice on dealing with dementia.

The forum for older residents will also feature live music performed by students from Rickmansworth School and a talk on the local mobile library service and how to access it.

Event organiser, Cllr Keith Martin, said: “We have a great variety of information and entertainment at the next forum, which will be held at Rickmansworth School. I urge members of the retired community across the district to come if they are interested in being involved. I’m really looking forward to seeing lots of familiar and new faces there. We are grateful to Matt Fletcher, headteacher at Rickmansworth School, for his kind offer to host this event and I thank all the organisations involved.”

The forum takes place between 2.30pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday 15 June at Rickmansworth School. Access and parking will be available from 2.15pm. Guests are therefore kindly asked not to arrive before this time.

Refreshments will be available. For those travelling by public transport there are bus stops close to the school. There will be free parking at the school. To book a place email: committeeteam@threerivers.gov.uk
