Family Carols in Leavesden Country Park

The festive mood will be abundant in Leavesden, during the second weekend of December. There are few better ways to get into a festive spirit than singing carols with families and friends. It just wouldn’t be Christmas without Carol singing - the more, the merrier!

The festive mood will be abundant in Leavesden, during the second weekend of December. There are few better ways to get into a festive spirit than singing carols with families and friends. It just wouldn’t be Christmas without Carol singing - the more, the merrier!

Join the Three Rivers District Council and YMCA’s community carol service on Wednesday 11 December at 6pm in Leavesden Country Park, Abbots Langley. Last year the event was attended by over 400 people and it raised over £400 for YMCA’s work with people affected by homelessness.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, Lead Member for Leisure, said: “It is great to see the YMCA and Three Rivers working together to bring another special Community Carol Service to Leavesden Country Park. Wrap up warm, come and enjoy singing Carols and raising money to help local young people.”

The singing will be enhanced by the Dacorum Community Choir, with renditions of many favourite traditional Christmas Carols. Songs such as Ding Dong Merrily on High and O Come All Ye Faithful plus some specially selected choir pieces will get everyone in the festive spirit. Free mulled wine, mince pies and hot chocolate will be available to help keep all participants warm and fed.

Guy Foxell, Chief Executive of YMCA, said: “This is a perfect opportunity for families to gather together with families, friends and neighbours. We look forward to singing traditional carols and enjoying refreshments in aid of the important local work of YMCA.”
