The Countryside Management Service is looking for large corporate businesses in and around Maple Cross to partner with Hertfordshire County Council and Three Rivers District Council in providing a permanent programme of either lunchtime or after work / early evening Health Walks for their employees and the Maple Cross community.

Health Walks are the ideal way to help people feel more connected to their community, while benefitting from taking regular exercise.

They are free to the community, volunteer led and a way for people to make new friends and improve their health and wellbeing. By introducing lunchtime or evening health walks, those at to work can also benefit from the opportunity to enjoy their local green spaces, in a safe, group setting.

By supporting local Health Walks big organisations can demonstrate their commitment to the community they are located in. Likewise the walks are beneficial for employees, to enhance their working day.

Funding is required to help get Health Walks up and running, to train volunteer walk leaders and to cover the promotion and engagement costs. Once established the walks will be continue to be coordinated by the Countryside Management Service’s as part of the wider Hertfordshire Health Walks initiative across the county.

To discuss how your business or organisation might be involved with Health Walks please email healthwalks.cms@hertfordshire.gov.uk  or call 01992 588433.
