The Abbots Langley Youth Project can now look forward to a grant of £2,227 thanks to Three Rivers District Council.

The one-off grant, agreed at Monday’s (6th September) Executive Committee, is to be used to help pay for the cost of renting the Abbots Langley Community Centre for one year to enable this important scheme to continue while other grant sources are investigated.

Abbots Langley Youth Project was helped in its cause by meeting important Council priorities in that it promotes volunteering, is accessible and addresses inequalities in the development of young people.

The Abbots Langley Youth Project, which meets at Abbots Langley Community Centre Thursdays between 7 and 10 pm, (except for six weeks in the summer) is for young people up to the age of 19 or 25 if they have learning difficulties. Every week there is table tennis, air hockey and pool available and a tuck shop.
