Over 200 Year 4 students from all the primary schools in Carpenders Park and South Oxhey took part in the Sport Inspired Games on Monday 14 March at The Centre and Warren Dell School in South Oxhey, organised by Councillor Eric Bishop, Chairman of Three Rivers District Council who was introduced to Sports Inspired by the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, Jonathan Trower

The students were treated to six different sports including Dodgeball, Tag Rugby, Table Tennis, Athletics, Boxing and Martial Arts. The facilities at both the venues were used to full effect by the students as they competed against each other in the Sport Inspired Games.

The young students were recognised for their efforts as every child who participated received a medal on the day. The team with the most victories and also the biggest team spirit and enthusiasm were also recognised at the fun filled Community Games.

The games were part of the campaign, Sport Inspired, a social enterprise that helps organise local multi-sport festivals and tournaments designed to increase youth and adult participation in sport and was supported by local business, VocaLink.
