Anyone interested in testing their general knowledge is invited to a quiz that will raise money for a charity working locally to ensure that everyone - no matter their circumstances - has access to the companionship of a friendly animal.

Pets As Therapy  is the chosen charity to benefit from a quiz night being hosted by the Chair of Three Rivers District Council, Cllr Debbie Morris.

The charity has more than 4,000 volunteers who provide a visiting service in hospitals, hospices, residential nursing homes, day care centres, mainstream and special needs schools, prisons and other establishments across the UK.

Cllr Morris, who picked Pets As Therapy to support during her year in office, said: "I've always loved the fact that animals can help people in so many ways. This charity pairs ordinary pets and their owners with places where their visits can actually make a big difference.

"If you're up for a fun night out with a great quiz, live music and some food too, please buy your tickets now and help support this wonderful charity in the process."

The Big Quiz Night will take place at Watersmeet Theatre, Rickmansworth on Saturday 4 March from 7pm. Tickets are £20 per person and can be bought individually or in tables of eight. There will be a licensed bar and cash raffle on the night.

The event has been kindly sponsored by Lidl.
