Watersmeet, Rickmansworth has been buzzing with creativity, playing host to a special networking event which welcomed the arrival of Hertfordshire Year Of Culture 2020 (HYOC2020), a year-long celebration of culture for the county.

The event in partnership with Creative Hertfordshire, enabled artists and craftspeople, clubs, organisations, schools, venues and services to meet and hear more about the Year of Culture and what we can expect to see across the county.

Most importantly, people from Three Rivers and across Hertfordshire heard about the many benefits of contributing and how easy it is to get involved!

Cllr Chris Lloyd, Lead member for Leisure said: “It was great to see so many diverse people come together, network and get excited about the year ahead. I am looking forward to seeing their ideas and contributions come to life.”

The delegates enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of the theatre and Artistsmeet, the art gallery space in the foyer. YOCI, the official Year of Culture mascot, stopped by to join in the celebrations.
