Cafes in parks closed
27th March 2020
We value every one of our residents and our communities are very important to us. Thus we continue to take more stringent actions as social distancing measures are in place now but still being flouted.
Cllr Chris Lloyd, Lead Member for Leisure, said: “Please don’t ignore the national advice, stay home as much as you can. It will help save lives by stopping the spread of the Coronavirus. We don’t want to put any of our residents at risk, especially people who are over 70 or who suffer from ill-health. So instead of going out, please think about other ways to do things. Please email or phone your friends and neighbours so that you maintain social contact and support.
“We are aware some residents continue to ignore the advice of keeping more than two metres apart. Your choice may be the difference between life and death.”
