Cyclists can repair their bikes on the go at new maintenance stands

New bike maintenance stands for minor repairs have been installed in five locations across the district to help keep cyclists on the move.
They include the tools needed for basic repairs and are free to use making them perfect for mid-ride adjustments.
Partners Hertfordshire County Council acquired the bike maintenance stands through a grant from Active Travel England and Three Rivers District Council funded the installation at the following locations (what3words location in bold):
· Leavesden Country Park (opposite the café in the car park)

Cllr Sarah Nelmes, Lead Member for General Public Services, said: “I am delighted that we have installed the bike maintenance stands at strategic locations, making it easier for cyclists to keep their bikes in roadworthy conditions.
“Improving walking and cycling is one of our key aims to enable residents to live active lives, connect with nature and travel sustainably. The maintenance stands help support that aim by making cycling easier to travel in and around our wonderful district.”
