See the beauty of Three Rivers through the lens of an artist at next month's art exhibition at Artistsmeet.

Art lovers and artists will be coming together in January to appreciate and enjoy art and creativity depicting the beauty and wonders of the district.

The much-anticipated Rickmansworth and District Art Society Exhibition will be returning on Wednesday 10 January 2024 to Friday 22 March 2024.

The exhibition at Artistsmeet on High Street, Rickmansworth, will celebrate the diverse styles that make art exciting and appealing to everyone. The artworks will be available to purchase, and the society and its artists will be hosting an event at Artistsmeet to celebrate.

Cllr Chris Lloyd, Lead Member for Leisure, said: “It’s fantastic that local artists can proudly show their incredible works at venues like Artistsmeet.

“Three Rivers is a beautiful and interesting place  to live, where I grew up. I am really looking forward to seeing the variety from each artist’s depiction of the daily life of the district in their art style.”

Jackie O'Keeffe, local artist and committee member of Rickmansworth and District Art Society, said: “The society members are really excited to have the opportunity to exhibit their artwork in a local venue. It is a fantastic chance for some members who have never exhibited before, alongside experienced artists to show case their work.”

Upcoming artists looking to hone their craft or those who do it as a hobby can attend monthly sessions and demonstrations from professional artists at the Mill End Community Centre.

Next month’s demonstration will take place on Thursday 4 January, 7:30pm – 10pm at the Mill End Community Centre, where artist Mick McNicholas will be demonstrating portraits in charcoal. All are welcome. Members are admitted for free, but guests will be charged £5.

A private viewing at Artistsmeet will take place on Saturday 27 January, 5pm – 7pm. Everyone is welcome and is suitable for all ages.
