Consultation on Proposed Changes

Consultation on Proposed Changes to the Three Rivers' Core Strategy July 2011

In February 2011, Three Rivers District Council formally submitted the Core Strategy to the Secretary of State for examination. As part of the Secretary of State’s examination of this document, in June 2011, a series of hearing sessions were held in public to discuss the contents of the Core Strategy. During these public hearing sessions, the independent Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State, identified parts of the Core Strategy where changes are required to make the document ‘sound’. To respond to these matters the Council has produced Schedules of Proposed Changes to the Core Strategy (July 2011). These should be read in conjunction with the Core Strategy for Examination.

Comments are invited on the Proposed Change to Policy CP5 Gypsy & Traveller Provision (Reference A13 on Schedule A: Changes Identified During the Examination of the Submitted Core Strategy) and the accompanying Sustainability Appraisal Addendum (July 2011). These documents will be published for a six week period of consultation between Friday 8 July 2011 and 5.00pm on Friday 19 August 2011. All documents relating to this consultation, including the Representation Forms and guidance notes are available to view and download below.

Only comments received on the Proposed Change to Policy CP5 Gypsy & Traveller Provision and the Sustainability Appraisal Addendum will be passed on to the independent Inspector for consideration.

All comments on these documents must be received by the Planning Policy Team no later than 5.00pm on Friday 19 August 2011. Any comments received after this time will not be accepted.
