Register to vote
You must be registered on the electoral register to be able to vote in a UK election or referendum. You can register to vote on the GOV.UK website.
You can register at any time, but you must do so at least 12 working days before an election to be eligible to vote.
Registering can also be used to confirm your address if you apply for a mortgage, other forms of credit or a bank account.
