If your payment, at the discount rate, is not made within the 14 day period, or within 14 days of the letter refusing your prompt challenge, the charge will revert to the full amount of £50 or £70. If, however, you still dispute the penalty and you wish to make a formal representation to the Council, you should wait for the Notice to Owner (this will be sent to the registered keeper of the vehicle approximately one month after the date of the contravention). If you follow this procedure and the case is upheld, you will have to pay the full amount (£50 or £70 depending on the severity of the contravention). For the full appeals process, see the Parking Penalty Appeals page.
If you wish to pay the penalty you can use the automatic payment line to pay by debit or credit card by telephoning 0845 452 4535 (24 hours a day/7days a week). Have your vehicle details and penalty charge number available.
You can also make your payment on-line.
Alternatively, you can send a cheque or postal order, made payable to Three Rivers Council, to The Parking Shop, PO Box 152, Watford, Herts WD18 0PS, using the slip at the bottom of the penalty.
If you have any other enquiries, you can contact the parking Shop by telephoning 01908 223506 (please note the dialling code is 01908).
