Parking Bylaws

Notice is hereby given that the District Council of Three Rivers intends after the expiry of the period mentioned below to apply to the Secretary of State for confirmation of byelaws made by the Council to prevent and suppress nuisances on land at Three Rivers House and Basing House Rickmansworth, and all those car parking areas within the Three Rivers District listed in the Schedule attached to the Byelaws.

The byelaws will prevent skating, sliding or riding on rollers, skateboards or other self propelled vehicles, urination (except in any public toilet provided), removal or displacement of structures or moveable items, unauthorised erection of structures, interference with appliances, the playing of any game, the throwing or discharge of missiles and the lighting of fires in all car parks.

The byelaws will prevent cycling at Three Rivers House and Basing House car park Rickmansworth, and at Causeway House car park Abbots Langley (except where there is a right of way to cycle, or for the purpose of parking a cycle in any cycle rack provided or other reasonable excuse)

Copies of the Byelaws will be kept at the offices of the Council at Three Rivers House Northway Rickmansworth Herts WD3 1RL and will be open to inspection without payment on any weekday during the usual office hours for one calendar month from and after the date of the first publication of this notice. Copies of the Byelaws will also be supplied on receipt of an application accompanied by a fee of 50 pence for each copy.

Any objection to the application for confirmation of the Byelaws may be made by letter addressed to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (DLG), Eland House (5/B1), Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DU quoting ref BLW/03 22/9/1, before the Byelaws are confirmed.
