Leisure Youth Support Worker (casual) / Playworker

Roles:

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience of working with children and young people. You will need to be flexible in your attitude and approach as you may be required to work with varying age groups and on varying leisure activities in a relaxed and informal setting.

You may be asked to work at many different Leisure service sites:

  • Mill End Youth Project at William Penn Leisure Centre
  • Holiday Playschemes (Easter & Summer) across schools in the Three Rivers District
  • Play Rangers – open spaces & woodland areas in the Three Rivers District, local schools and Play Ranger parties
  • Croxley Green Skate Park
  • Two25 summer youth sports project
  • Working across the Sport, Art and Inclusive Leisure activities

You will receive full training and induction manuals detailing specific procedures.

Additional information:

All convictions must be disclosed before interview.

 Hours of work:

 Hours could vary between 8.00am – 8pm, Monday – Friday, term-time and school holidays. This is dependent on the site you will be working at.

Regular / Occasional weekend work.

 Training:

The post holder will be required to complete entry level and ongoing training which the council will provide.

Essential:

The post holder is required to drive – in order to travel around the district.
