How your Council Tax is spent

As the billing authority, Three Rivers District Council has to calculate a Council Tax requirement and basic amount of Council Tax that includes the precepts it receives from the Parish Councils within its area. A precept is the amount each Parish asks the District Council to collect on its behalf.

Information about how the 2017/18 Council Tax has been calculated has been published in the TRDC 2017/18 Council Tax Leaflet (pdf)

With effect from 1 April 2017 Batchworth Parish Council became a new parish within Three Rivers District Council’s area .  The 2017/18 Council Tax demand for residents of this new parish did not include the % change in the Three Rivers District Council element of the charge.

The table below acts as confirmation of each band’s percentage change.
