I am a Penn and Mill End Councillor and was elected Chairman of the District Council in May 2017.
I came to live in Mill End in 2001 and began to get involved in local issues when I acted as Secretary for Mill End Residents Association and was elected as Councillor for Mill End and Penn in May 2015. Since then I have been actively involved with the Mill End Community Centre and I am also privileged to be a Governor at Shepherds J.M.I. I hope I can bring enthusiasm, optimism and a spirit of co-operation to everyone who works for our community. I am looking forward to meeting leaders and representatives of the many youth groups, charitable organisations and other groups who work so selflessly to support the lives of many of the residents
The Chairman went on to state that her predecessors, are hard acts to follow and will try to fly the flag for Three Rivers throughout Hertfordshire as successfully as they did. Cllr Barber’s chosen local charities to support and raise funds for throughout his year in office are: Rickmansworth Sea Cadets and the Mill End Community Centre.
