The South Oxhey Initiative has been successful in its bid for grant funding from the Government's Local Growth Deal.  The investment has been agreed through the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership and is part of a boost for a wide range of housing, employment and infrastructure projects.

Councillor Ann Shaw, Leader of the Council said, "I am delighted that our project has been recognised in this way, it confirms this Council's support for local democracy and the wider South Oxhey community".

Councillor Matthew Bedford, lead member for Resources, said “It is expected that £2.3m will be available to support the regeneration of South Oxhey's town centre, which seeks to provide about 500 new homes, a new retail centre and high quality public spaces.  We expect these funds to be available to us in 2018 and the actual amount will depend on the financial outcome of the project".
