Professor Sir Hew Strachan talks about The US in The Great War

household name in military history, Sir Hew has been at the pinnacle of the subject for many years and is a recognised global authority on The Great War.
Originally educated at Cambridge University, he has since held postings at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Oxford and Cambridge Universities, University of Glasgow and until 2015 was Chichele Professor of History at Oxford University.
Sir Hew has authored many important works on the history of the Great War and was knighted in 2013 for services to the Ministry of Defence. He will be speaking at the Weston Auditorium, University of Hertfordshire, De Havilland Campus, Herts, AL10 9EU.
The talk will start at 7.30pm with doors open from 7pm.
