Three Rivers pensioners’ chance to have their say - 21 October 2016

10th October 2016

Three Rivers is welcoming residents to the Pensioners’ Forum on Friday 21 October, from 2-4pm in the Penn Chamber at Three Rivers House in Rickmansworth.

On the agenda will be AGE UK Hertfordshire, where the forum can learn more about the computer training courses they offer to help pensioners get online.

The next presentation will focus on trading standards, where advice will be given on how to protect you and your home from rogue traders; how to deal with cold calling and who to contact to report them.

In addition, attendees will be able to discover the history of Heronsgate and find out more about the Chartist past of the village and their leader Feargus O'Connor.

Lastly, Rivertech, the project created for shared work spaces for entrepreneurs, freelancers and homeworkers from Rickmansworth in Basing House will talk about the organisation and the work they do.

The Pensioners’ Forum is a great way for residents in the district to meet and have their say on a range of issues and find out what’s happening in their area. It is also a good chance to have some tea, cake and a chat! The ever-popular forum has a high recorded attendance and they are able to listen to the wide variety of speakers at Pensioners Forum, and then hold a question and answer session with the speakers.
