PROCESS AND PROCEDURES WHEN CONSIDERING THE USE OF A DESIGNATION ORDER |
This report informs the Committee of the process and procedures involved when considering the use of a designation order. The report also details the work which is currently underway to allow a recommendation to be made to this Committee regarding the implementation of an order in specified areas of Chorleywood and Garston. |

STREET TRADING CONSENTS - REVIEW OF POLICY AND PROCESS |
The street trading provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 were adopted by the Council in June 1984. Adoption enables the Council to issue street trading consents and to designate prohibited and consent streets. This report reviews current policy and processes. Suggestions are made upon how policy might be modernised and how there might be a greater involvement by Members in what has, up until now, been an officer delegated function. 06 06 07 RG i - 06 street trading consents - policy and process review (doc) |

EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC |
If any confidential business is approved under item 3, it will also be necessary to specify the class of exempt or confidential information in the additional item(s) and a resolution to be passed in the following terms:- |

"that under Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item(s) of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined under paragraphs (1-7) of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act". It has been decided by the Council that in all the circumstances, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information. |
