A petition in the following terms has been received signed by over 100 residents in the District:
We, the undersigned, residents of the Foxgrove Path/Heysham Drive and surrounding areas, object to the plans for housing development on the land off Heysham Drive and adjacent to Foxgrove Path, formerly known as “Playing Fields” and currently used for grazing horses.
We call upon the Council to:
1. Reject this proposed plan.
2. Consider alternative site(s) for additional housing that do not impact on Greenbelt, recreational land or are likely to have a detrimental outlook for existing residents.
3. Fully consult with local residents on any future proposals at the outset.

(1) Councillor Ralph Sangster, seconded by Councillor Chris Hayward to move under Notice duly given as follows:
This Council recognises that it needs to retain the trust and support of its residents by guarding against the misuse of due process in Governance by the Administration that can arise from the arrogance of power.

The Council would like to install a play area in Ashridge Ward, South Oxhey. One of the sites put forward is within Prestwick Meadows North. Can you assure residents that if a play area is put in at this site, it will not lead to any further development or loss of green space in the Meadows?
