2. CONSIDERATION OF A FORMAL PETITION ON PROVISIONS OF THE HS2 HYBRID BILL
This report recommends that the Council supports the decision of the Executive of the 21 January 2014 to formally petition Parliament in respect of concerns raised by the Government’s public consultation on the Environmental Statement forming part of the proposed Bill on the national infrastructure project known as ‘High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands),’ or High Speed 2 (HS2), as set out in the attached proposed Petition.
