The Executive Committee welcomes contributions from Members of the public to its discussion on agenda items. Contributions will be limited to one person speaking for and one against each item for not more than three minutes. Please note that in the event of registering your interest to speak on an agenda item but not taking up that right because the item is deferred, you will automatically be given the right to speak on that item at the next meeting of the Committee. Details of the procedure and the list for registering the wish to speak will be available for a short period before the meeting. |

To receive the recommendation of the Leisure and Community Safety Policy and Scrutiny Committee held on 27 January 2009 in relation to the following item on the agenda for the Executive Committee on 9 March 2009. |

LEISURE AND COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATIONS |
|
The Committee is asked to consider the third round of applications from groups and organisations for grant support from the Leisure and Community Grants 2008/09 revenue provision and to recommend accordingly to the Executive Committee. |

CANADA GEESE AT RICKMANSWORTH AQUADROME LOCAL NATURE RESERVE |
|
The Committee is asked to consider the various methods of controlling Canada geese at the Rickmansworth Aquadrome Local Nature Reserve. |

LEISURE AND COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATIONS |
|
The Committee is asked to consider the fourth round of applications from groups and organisations for grant support from the Leisure and Community Grants 2008/09 revenue position. |

The applications to be considered are for Community Grants Friends of Carpenters Wood, Mill End & Community District Association and Leisure Grants to Old Danes Basketball Club, Apsley Papertrail Chorleywood Free Church and Croxley Guild Sports and Social Club. |

HERTFORDSHIRE WASTE PARTNERSHIP – INTER AUTHORITY AGREEMENT |

This report seeks delegation of authority to enable the Director of Community & Environment Services, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Public Services & Health, to sign on behalf of the Council certain Herts. Waste Partnership documents. |

FOOD STANDARDS AGENCY AUDIT – PROGRESS AGAINST THE ACTION PLAN |

To advise Members on progress against the Action Plan of improvements agreed with the Food Standards Agency in respect of the food service. |

EXCEPTIONS TO PROCUREMENT PROCEDURE IN RELATION TO REMEDIAL WORKS TO DEFECTIVE SEWERS AT A SPECIFIC LOCATION |

To report to Executive Committee the details relating to not advertising for expressions of interest to tender in respect of works to remedy defective sewers at 2 specific locations within the district. 09 03 09 EX i - (09) exception to procurement procedure (doc) |

EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC |

If the Committee wishes to consider the remaining item in private, it will be appropriate for a resolution to be passed in the following terms:- |

“that under Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined under paragraphs 3 and 5 and 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A to the Act. It has been decided by the Council that in all the circumstances, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.” |
