Leisure Support Worker (casual) / Playworker
£7.85 – £9.95 p/h
Across Three Rivers District
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience of working with children, young people and adults. You will need to be flexible in your attitude and approach as you may be required to work with varying age groups and on varying leisure activities in a relaxed and informal setting.
You may be asked to work at many different Leisure service sites:
- Mill End Youth Project at William Penn Leisure Centre
- Holiday Playschemes (Easter & Summer) across schools in the Three Rivers District
- Play Rangers – open spaces & woodland areas in the Three Rivers District, local schools and Play Ranger parties
- Croxley Green Skate Park
- Two25 summer youth sports project
- Working across the Sport, Art and Inclusive Leisure activities
You will receive full training and induction manuals detailing specific procedures.
The interview is a two-stage process, a formal interview followed by an observational interview. The candidate will be asked to plan an activity in advanced and bring this to interview. The candidate will then be asked to deliver this activity at a Play Ranger service as part of the observation interview.

Hours of work:
Hours could vary between 8.00am – 8pm, Monday – Friday, term-time and school holidays. This is dependent on the site you will be working at.
Regular / Occasional weekend work.
The post holder will be required to complete the following mandatory training before starting their role:
- Staff induction
- First Aid
The candidate must ensure that they are available for the training (training dates below).
This job is seasonal, therefore recruitment is ongoing and casual staff are always required.
To work summer 2018 – Monday 24th July – Friday 31st August 2018
