Home Energy Efficiency Grants

Three Rivers District Council's vision is that the district should be a better place for everyone, their neighbourhoods, health, employment and access to services. The aims and priorities for the Council include reducing the eco-footprint of the district and supporting the most vulnerable people.   

Improving the energy efficiency of homes and businesses in the district is key to delivering this. Improving energy efficiency can also help to reduce rising energy bills.  Advice is provided on improving energy efficiency and also support which maybe available to help with energy bills including:

• Green Homes Grant - Eligible residents can get fully funded energy efficiency measures worth up to £10,000 to make homes cheaper to run, warmer, and greener.

• Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Funding – ECO funding from energy companies to support people living in fuel poverty with fully funded energy efficiency improvements.

• Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Phase 1 - SHDF Wave 1 funding will support the installation of external wall insulation to over 130 properties in Three Rivers and Watford; helping to make tenants’ homes healthier, more comfortable, and environmentally friendly.
