Shop owner fined

A shopkeeper from Carpenders Park has been fined after a court hearing at Hatfield Magistrates Court on 28 June 2012.
Café Deluxe in Carpenders Park was convicted under the Environmental Protection Act (1990) for not producing waste transfer notes or Duty of Care certificate for waste disposal from their property.
The owner, Mr Duran Ozcan, was given several warnings to make arrangements for his waste but omitted to do so. Three Rivers District Council then served a Fixed Penalty Notice that Mr Ozcan chose to ignore.
Hatfield Magistrates Court found him guilty of not producing waste transfer notes or Duty of Care certificate for waste disposal from their property and he received a fine of £75 and was ordered to pay costs of £825 to Three Rivers District Council.
Café Deluxe have since set up a contract for a refuse bin with Three Rivers District Council.
