Three Rivers is the only authority in Hertfordshire to hold the Royal Town Planning Institute's Learning Partner Status. The Council's unique status has just been confirmed by the Royal Planning Institute (RTPI) after we met the annual monitoring requirements to retain their special accolade.
Three Rivers is also one of only a handful of authorities nationally to hold this award which recognises a commitment to the development of staff. Recent high profile planning applications dealt with by the team have included the Warner Brothers studio expansion at Leavesden which made news across the world.
Cabinet member for the environment, Cllr Martin Trevett, said:
"Congratulations to our hard working team. We have been invited to share our approaches to training and staff learning with others. Our customers, be they residents, developers, other professionals or Members benefit from having suitably qualified, experienced and motivated staff. "
Residents can receive monthly updates on planning decisions in the area by signing up to the team's monthly e-newsletter. The latest planning applications are tweeted each week from www.twitter.com/threeriversdc. Information is also available on our noticeboards across the district or by ringing 01923 776611.
