14th March 2012

Building work has begun on an exciting new play and fitness area for both adults and children in South Way, Abbots Langley.

The work, which is expected to be completed by the end of May, will see a wide range of new equipment installed to create a modern play space for local children. Adults will also benefit with the installation of an outdoor gym.

“I am delighted that the community will receive this state-of-the-art play space which local residents have played an active roll in selecting.  This is the sixth play area to benefit from a makeover and re-enforces our vision for play in the district.”

Funding for this project has been made available via Three Rivers District Council and the Watford Community Housing Trust, through their Better Communities Fund. The Trust’s contribution was secured through a funding application which was submitted by the Hillside Residents Association.

Work is also underway at Scotsbridge play area, Rickmansworth and will begin at Langleybury play area, Langleybury in the next few weeks.
