The Panel welcomes contributions from members of the public to its discussion on agenda items. Contributions will be limited to one person speaking for and one against each item for not more than three minutes. Please note that, in the event of registering your interest to speak on an agenda item but not taking up that right because the item is deferred, you will automatically be given the right to speak on that item at the next meeting of the Panel. Details of the procedure and the list for registering the wish to speak will be available for a short period before the meeting.

SAFETY CAMERA POLICY

  

To inform members of the safety camera criteria and evaluation process. To provide data on the current performance of static, mobile and red light cameras with regard to casualty reduction effectiveness and vehicle speed reductions.

PETITION STATUS REPORT

 

A three minute presentation by a representative on a petition that has 30 signatures or more. The Chairman to rule on the admission of such items. To update Members on the progress with the petitions heard by the JMP.

To inform members of the T & E ranking procedure and provide updated scores and the priority list of sites within the District.

UPDATE ON CURRENT INTEGRATED WORKS PROGRAMME

 

To update members on the progress of the Integrated Works Programme (IWP) for 2007/08.

HERTFORDSHIRE HIGHWAYS INTEGRATED WORKS PROGRAMME AND FORWARD WORKS PROGRAMME

 

To inform the Panel of the finalised version of the ‘Delivery Programme’ of IWP schemes planned for implementation within the local area in 2008/2009. To present to the Panel the current version of the ‘Preparation Programme’ - those schemes that will be investigated or designed during 2008/09 with a view to construction during 2009/10 or later and to seek the Panel’s input on this programme. To present to the Panel the current version of the Forward Works Programme (FWP) of schemes under consideration for 2009/10 to 2012/13 and to seek the Panel’s input on this programme (note that the Preparation Programme forms part of the FWP). To inform the Panel of some revised arrangements for the delivery of IWP schemes in 2008/09.

EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

 

            If any confidential business is approved under Item 3, it will also be necessary to specify the class of exempt or confidential information in the additional item(s) and a resolution to be passed in the following terms:

 

         “that under Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined under paragraphs (1-7) of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.” It has been decided by the Council that in all the circumstances the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
