Environmental Enforcement Manager 

Permanent contract. Salary - £36,486 to £39,229 – inclusive of local weighting. 

The Council’s busy Environmental Protection Section is looking for a committed individual to manage the Section’s Enforcement Team.You will join the Section at a particularly busy time, as we prepare for our new recycling service changes and introduce our new Public Space Protection Orders. You have particular responsibility for enforcing enforcement of the relevant sections of the Anti-social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014, Environmental Protection Act 1990, Control of Pollution Act 1989, Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003 and Clean Neighbourhoods & Environment Act 2005 (refuse / recycling compliance, street litter notices, flytipping, dog control etc.), including the issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices.  You will also be responsible for maximising income to the Council by promoting our trade refuse collection service. In addition you will be responsible for memorial safety testing within the Council owned cemeteries and the monitoring of the Council community toilet scheme and pest control service. 

You will need to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, together with an enthusiasm for waste management. At least 2 years prior enforcement knowledge and management experience is desirable. You will be able to work well under pressure and on your own initiative, as well as being an excellent team player. 

The post is based at Batchworth Depot, Harefield Road.
