BENEFITS ASSESSOR

FIXED TERM CONTRACT ENDING 31/3/2017

Salary: £25,296 to £27,117

(inclusive of local weighting allowance)

37 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to join Watford and Three Rivers Shared Services Benefits Team on a fixed term contract to 31/3/2017.  The post will be based at Watford Town Hall. Previous experience of assessing Housing and Council Tax Support entitlement using the Capita Academy System is essential. Knowledge of the Northgate Information@work document processing system would be an advantage. The purpose of the role is to focus our attention on reducing fraud and error in benefits. You will be predominantly responsible for managing your own caseload and processing changes of circumstances.

You must possess excellent written and verbal skills along with a good degree of numeracy.  You must be comfortable working in a customer-based environment and be happy with the use of computerised systems.
