The wards within Three Rivers are part of the following constituencies:
South West Herts - Ashridge, Chorleywood East, Chorleywood West, Croxley Green, Croxley Green North, Croxley Green South, Hayling, Maple Cross & Mill End, Moor Park & Eastbury, Northwick, Penn, Rickmansworth, Rickmansworth West, Sarratt.
St Albans - Bedmond & Primrose Hill.
Watford - Abbots Langley, Carpenders Park, Langleybury, Leavesden, Oxhey Hall.
For electoral purposes the UK is divided into 659 areas known as 'constituencies'. Each has one representative - a Member of Parliament (MP) - in the House of Commons.
To ensure that constituency electorates are kept roughly equal, four permanent Parliamentary Boundary Commissions, one each for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, have kept constituency size under review.
A General Election will take place at least every five years. The most recent General Election was held on 5 May 2005.
