I was elected to TRDC May 2015 for Chorleywood South & Maple Cross Ward including the Swillett, Heronsgate and West Hyde. I grew up in Heronsgate. I live with my husband in Chorleywood. Both I and my son attended state schools locally.
I have worked for most of my life in or with the public and not-for-profit sectors.
I have been a parent governor, and then chairman, of the local Russell Primary School. I have many years experience working with housing associations, and health and other organisations, to get the best outcomes for the public. I also have experience of planning processes, safeguarding both historic buildings and the environment. I am a former chairman of a large childrens charity and a supporter of neighbourhood watch, and OWL Messaging.
I am currently chairman of Chorleywood Library Volunteers. We have attracted 100 volunteers who will be helping run the library from 9 November 2015.
My main objectives as a TRDC councillor are to do my best for local residents whether through listening, responding, acting diligently, and imaginatively generally getting the best out of the system, within the constraints that surround us.
I can be contacted using the details above. My phone and email details are also published in the Conservative newsletter periodically distributed to all homes in the ward.
