New play area for Croxley Green
Following consultation with local school children and the community, a brand new, exciting play area has been installed at Barton Way recreation ground. Key features of the new play area includes a jungle climbing play unit, set on top of a high grass mound; aerial runway; sand play unit and a large trampoline. There is also a shaded seating and picnic area.
Nine-year old Max Munroe has been keeping a close eye on the play area’s progress. He says: "It’s much bigger and better than before."
Funding was provided by Three Rivers District Council, the Department of Children Schools and Families Playbuilder programme (through Hertfordshire County Council) and Croxley Green Parish Council.

Back to basics with outdoor play
Remember outdoor play? Well it’s back and it's fun and it's safe and it’s not just the adults saying that!
With Play Rangers, children get to experience supervised play sessions come rain or shine. Yes they do sometimes go home dirty but they have great fun building dens, camp fires, rope swings and playing dodge ball.

Play Rangers are based at Abbots Langley, Leavesden, South Oxhey and Mill End and all the activities encourage children to have fun and make decisions about play whilst enjoying traditional activities.
What parents have said about Play Rangers last summer...
"My child doesn't normally want to be left at events but with playrangers he wants me to leave!"
"My children are always keen to come as they know they're going to have fun."
"They don't stop talking about the games, den building and playing in the mud!"
And what the children said...
"I like how the staff are friendly and easy to talk to."

Our new leaflet for the spring/summer term shows our new location at Manor House Grounds in Abbots Langley. For a chance to join in the tree climbing, rope swings and exploring the woods, come and visit the Play Rangers on Friday's between 4pm - 6pm.
