iPlayoutdoors

Play Ranger sessions for January to March start on Monday 9 January 2012, including a new location in South Oxhey and a session in Croxley Green for the first time! You can also find us at Leavesden and Maple Cross this winter.

Attendance at Greenfields School and Yorke Mead School sessions

Please note that the new sessions are attracting large numbers of children. In order to ensure the safety and organisation of the session is maintained, we have a maximum number of children we can accept at a session. We are currently adding names to a waiting list for the Monday and Friday sessions, and families will be contacted if a space becomes available.

We appreciate that this is not open access as advertised, however we are experiencing unprecedented demand. We apologise for any disappointment.

See our leaflet below for times, dates and locations:

During our sessions we encourage children and young people to explore their local woodland and open spaces, where they can play freely. We run a variety of activities including Den Building, Camp Fires, Rope Swings, Team Games and Sporting Activities. All of our activities aim to encourage free choice, adventure, confidence, team work and give opportunities to meet many new friends.

Sitting on Tree

We try out loads of activities in all of our sessions, and everything is chosen by children. We are always open to new games and suggestions made by our children and young people. These are just examples of what children like to do in each area.

Please have a look at our flyer to find out where we are and at what time.

Play Rangers are now on Twitter (PlayRangersTRDC) and Facebook (Three Rivers Play Rangers)

Some quotes from parents and children

"My child doesn't normally want to be left at events but with playrangers he wants me to leave!"

"My children are always keen to come as they know they're going to have fun."

"They don't stop talking about the games, den building and playing in the mud!"

And what the children said...

"I like how the staff are friendly and easy to talk to."
