Everyday Active is part of the Active Communities programme and over the last three years, adults, children and young people from the district have engaged in a range of activities to get more active more often.

The Active Communities project has been commended for the MJ Awards; more people, more active, more often.

Everyday Active is designed exclusively for adults and includes classes such as pilates, advanced creative writing, movement to music, watercolour painting, digital photography and making memories.

Everyday Active is an ideal way to meet new friends and learn new skills and with a choice of daytime and evening classes to pick from, Everyday Active is easy and convenient to fit into your everyday schedule!

Be Inspired, Be active, Be challenged!

The latest edition of Everyday Active has arrived! With a diverse programme of leisure activities for adults, the new brochure is brimming full of NEW courses with something for everybody, regardless of ability.

Get creative with life drawing, water colour painting, or creative textiles. Try out pottery in South Oxhey or Garston or learn the art of Japanese pottery in Chorleywood. Love Strictly Come Dancing? Sign up to our fabulous ballroom dancing class! Numerous other physical pursuits include, tennis, pilates and badminton. Learn to sail at the Aquadrome, get back on a trampoline in Chorleywood and wind down with a relaxing and exhilarating tai chi class in Croxley Green. Subsidised by Three Rivers District Council as well as the Extended Schools Consortia in Rickmansworth and Abbots Langley, The Everyday Active programme represents very good value for money, with classes from as little as £4 per week. Outdoor Gyms
for everyday active adults

Outdoor gym equipment.Just for adults, these brand new gyms offer you the opportunity to have fun exercising, whilst enjoying the fresh air of the outdoors. There are seven items of equipment, offering a range of exercise opportunities, including toning of the upper and lower body and fitness to the heart and lungs.

Three Rivers District Council are pleased to introduce the two brand new sites, located at Leavseden Country Park, Abbots Langley and Ebury Play Area, Rickmansworth. Whether you're out walking the dog or having a stroll in Leavseden Country Park or taking the children or grandchildren to Ebury Play area, why not pop in and have a go!comment from customer on outdoor gyms.





Why not visit our You Tube site and take a tour around the outdoor gym at Leavesden Country Park. 

The outdoor gyms are FREE to use and you can access them on any day and at anytime.


Here's just a few of other Everyday Active sessions on offer:

Mums of Steel - Stroller Strength Fitness

Jump start weight loss, fight the baby blues, meet other mums, bond with baby and have fun!

All exercise programmes are developed specifically for the post-natal mother, including a focus on stomach toning. The classes help you to burn calories and fat through a cardio session and improve posture and muscle tone by resistance and core work.

The sessions have now been run across the district in South Oxhey, Mill End and Rickmansworth and have proven to be very popular with local mums:

New courses starting in October 2009 at Rickmansworth Aquadrome Local Nature Reserve and Chorleywood House Estate are included in the Everyday Active brochure above.

Tea DanceTea Dances are held on Tuesdays at Chorleywood Memorial Hall, Common Road, Chorleywood:

Come and join us for a cuppa and a twirl on the dance floor for the afternoon with our host Mr Wonderful........

                1.30pm - 4.00pm
£3 per person (including tea/coffee)

 £1.50 for non-dancers, carers are FREE.

health walksHealth walks in Three Rivers

This health walking scheme is coordinated by The Countryside Management Service (CMS) and is a countywide programme of free, led walks. It aims to help promote walking and encourage more people (all ages, backgrounds and abilities) to get outdoors, get more active and reap the benefits.
