Residents offered Council news on audio

If you have a visual impairment you are now being offered the Council magazine on cassette or CD. We have teamed up with Watford Talking Newspaper to deliver audio versions of both Three Rivers Times and the annual A-Z directory of local services.

You can also receive audio and large print copies direct from the District Council. The audio copies are also available for people who have reading difficulties.

Council Leader, Ann Shaw, said:

"Hundreds of residents are registered blind and there are many other adults who cannot read. We have always offered information on audio but teaming up with Watford Talking Newspapers is a real step forwards - actively providing the information to a larger audience."

Mr Ray Andrews of Watford Talking Newspaper said:

"Anything which helps the visually impaired we're pleased to support. We are now working with both Watford and Three Rivers Councils to make local ifnormation more available for the visually impaired."

Three Rivers Times and the A-Z directory will also be available as a podcast on the Council's website from 16 November.

You can contact Watford Talking Newspaper on 01923 672974.

You can also contact us for both audio and large print versions or ring 01923 727 255.
