Youth Council features sailing and elections

Sailing courses for the disabled and able bodied, elections and the Chorleywood Literature Festival are on the agenda for our next Youth Council which takes place on Tuesday 16 October at 5:30pm.

The Youth Council is organised by Council Leader, Ann Shaw, and the session will feature speakers from Colne Valley Special Sailors, Bury Lake Young Mariners and Chorleywood Lit Fest.

November's Chorleywood Lit Fest will feature a special display of costumes from the Harry Potter films plus celebrity speakers including Nigella Lawson. Three Rivers' Chief Executive, Steven Halls, will talk about his role as Returning Officer for national and local elections.

The Youth Council is open to U19s at secondary school and above who live or go to school in the district.

Pizza and drinks are available from 5:00pm and the Council can help with transport to and from the meeting if needed. Contact us...
