Your district, your say - Remember to vote, says Council

Ahead of the local elections taking place across the country in May, Three Rivers District Council is encouraging residents to use their vote and have their say on the services and facilities provided in their area.

Sixteen of the 48 seats in Three Rivers are up for election on Thursday 3rd May, in wards across the district.

The District Council's Chief Executive, Steven Halls, who is also the Returning Officer, said:

"Voting in the District Council elections gives residents their greatest opportunity to influence Council policies that affect their wellbeing. I personally feel that our right to vote becomes a responsibility to vote, in order to exercise properly our hard-won democratic freedom."

Council staff preparing for the election.Everybody registered to vote in the wards up for election should have now received their polling card, or their postal vote if they have chosen one. Polling stations are open from 7.00am to 10.00pm.

Parish Council elections will also be taking place in Abbots Langley, Croxley Green and Watford Rural.

There will be no elections taking place in Penn, Rickmansworth, Rickmansworth West and Chorleywood East wards.
